Artista Chilena Española nacida en Santiago de Chile, el 10 de Enero de 1976.
Karin estudió Diseño en Equipamiento en la Universidad de La Serena, Chile.
El arte siempre estuvo presente en su vida y fue en 1999 cuando tuvo su primera
muestra de pintura individual, en La Serena. Luego continuó pintando aún más,
experimentando con nuevos materiales como pastas modelables, gel, papel de oro
etc.
Los viajes son fuente de inspiración para su pintura, el contacto con otras
culturas, paisajes, idiomas, música, aromas y sabores le han abierto un mundo
infinito.
Ha vivido en Italia y Estados Unidos.
Ha trabajado como voluntaria para 2 fundaciones sin fines de lucro en Oregon, Estados Unidos: Henderson House,
Juliette’s House, las cuales ayudan a niños y mujeres víctimas de abuso sexual y violencia intra familiar.
En Diciembre del 2004, Karin realizó un exitoso evento llamado “Remate de Arte Internacional, en Oregon, con
pinturas donadas por artistas de todo el mundo, a beneficio de Henderson House y Juliette’s House.
Al mismo tiempo estuvo dando clases de “Expresión Creativa a través de la Pintura” a niños, en The Merri Artist, en
McMinnville, Oregon.

Uno de los campos en los que ha comenzado a investigar es el “arte terapia”, camino que quiere seguir con
dedicación en un futuro cercano.
Su pintura está esparcida en el mundo entero: Chile, Brazil, Canadá, Estados Unidos, Italia, UK, Alemania, etc.
Actualmente reside en Inglaterra con su esposo, Eric Wilson, artista de vida salvaje.

Chilean Spanish artist born on January 10th, 1976, in Santiago de Chile.
Karin studied Industrial Design at University of La Serena, Chile.
Art was always present in her life and it was in 1999 when she had her first solo exhibition, in La Serena, Chile. After
that she started painting even more, experimenting with new materials,
such as grounds, gels, gold leafing and others.
Her passion for traveling is her biggest font of inspiration. Being in contact with other cultures, languages, food,
landscapes and music among others, brings her more energy to keep
creating, this is reflected in her whimsical colorful paintings that very well express her optimistic vision of life.
She has lived in Italy and the United States.
She has worked as a volunteer for 2 non profit foundations, Henderson House and Juliette's House, which help women
and children who have been victims of sexual abuse and domestic violence in Yamhill County.
In December 2004, she organized, along with another volunteer, a successful event called “International Art Auction”,
also in Oregon, with paintings donated by artists from different countries, to benefit these two foundations.
At the same time, she taught “Creative Expression Through Painting” to children at The Merri Artist, in McMinnville,
Oregon.

She has started to research more about “art therapy” field she wants to follow with more dedication in the near
future.
Her art is spread out worldwide. Her paintings can be found in private collections in Chile,
Spain, United States, Canada, Italy, UK, Germany and Brazil.
She's currently living in England with her husband, the wildlife artist Eric Wilson.
